ISOSCAN stands for “Isotope-aided assessment and forecasting of hydroclimatic extremes in Scandinavia with stakeholder co-design”. The ISOSCAN project is an interdisciplinary research project funded in the Water4All funding scheme.
In ISOSCAN, we explore a citizen science approach to collect water isotope samples in surface snow and from rivers across Scandinavia. The distributed sampling from tourists and locals in the Scandinavian outdoors allows us to create better forecast models for river runoff.
